Day Four

Another phenomenal day! Left the Loire Valley at 8:00am for the five hour drive to Brittany.  Arrived in the walled city of St. Milo on the coast. Church there has the tomb of Jacques Cartier, founder of Canada. Explored the city and had lunch on our own...their specialty being galletas--- a savory buckwheat crepe....Mmmmmm good! From there we had a quick drive to the island abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel....another UNESCO site. Next to Paris it is the second most visited place in France. Not all, but many of us walked up many, many steps to get to the top!  I lost count. Tomorrow we're off to Normandy and WWII sites. Au Revoir!
